Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast, who was as a captain and a participant for the Fierce Five team in 2012 team as well as 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012 the team, she won gold medals in team competitions and also the floor exercise. For the balance beam Raisman was awarded the bronze medal. She became one of the few American to have won the most medals at an Olympics. Gold medals she took home during the Olympics in 2016 marked the second gold in a row for the United States team. This made her, and teammate Gabby - the first Americans to be able to complete this accomplishment. She also won silver medals at the all-around individual event and in the floor workout. After the 2 Olympics she had taken an absence from gymnastics competition for three years. Also, she was a one of the gold medal winning American squads at the two World Championships. She began learning gymnastics at the age of two and her favorite event is floor workouts. Aly gives her time and money to Uniting Against Lung Cancer charity to honor her late grandmother. She is planning to pursue a career in fashion and would like to expand her leotard line and socks later on. She is writing a book titled Fierce which will come out later this year.
